Self Cert Adverse Or Bad Credit Mortgages Are Possible Even With CCJ’s, Arrears, IVA’s

The self employed can self cert even though they have no proof of income to get an adverse or bad credit mortgage even if they have seriously poor credit due to arrears, ccj’s, arrears or even an IVA (Individual Voluntary Arrangement).

Most lenders have traditionally required the self employed to have an accountant. The purpose being that lenders would be able to confirm with the accountant that you really are self employed together with confirmation of the number of years you’ve been trading

However things have changed dramatically in recent years enabling those who may have only recently started up in business to be able to acquire a mortgage as specialist lenders are more aware of the ‘real world’ situation that people find themselves in.

To conclude, being self employed should not be a hindrance in gaining a mortgage to meet your needs even if you have adverse credit albeit credit card defaults or a ccj, mortgage loan arrears or even an IVA or even facing repossession.

So whatever the situation the self employed find themselves in there is always hope that a product will fit with their requirements
