Can I Get a Mortgage If I Have Had a CCJ?

You often hear the question asked; can I get a mortgage if I have had a CCJ?

The Bad Credit Mortgage Centre is always pleased to explain positively to any one that asks, if I have had a CCJ placed on my record can I get a mortgage, that yes, indeed they can!

Subject to the number of Count Court Judgement’s, the date of the ccj’s and the total value of the ccj’s. The secret is knowing where to look to get a mortgage if you have had a CCJ. Most high street lenders are very conservative and draconian in their attitude to lending.

High street lenders have a fixed set of criteria the follow for lending mortgages. If they can’t tick every box, they’ll simply decline your application – even if you are able to make the monthly payments!
